How do I save a vCard landing page as a template to keep my team’s cards consistent?

What this feature does

A vCard landing page template lets you save a vCard design (also called a digital business card) so you can reuse it across your account.

This helps you:

  • Keep branding consistent (logo, colors, layout).
  • Control what other users can change, especially if you have multiple sub-users.
  • Speed up vCard creation by using a preset design.

Who can use it

Available only on vCard Enterprise plans.

If you are not on vCard Enterprise, you will not see this option.

Only users with "Admin" role can create and edit templates.

How to create a vCard landing page template

Step-by-step

  1. Go to the vCard standalone app home page.

Click Save as Template button, found inside the "Step 2" box.

In the pop-up, fill in the template details:

    • Template Name: Give it a clear name (example: “Sales Team - Standard Card”).
    • Permissions: Choose whether to share this template with other users (i.e. share it with other users in your account or keep it for yourself).
    • Choose the template layout/design available in this template.
    • Set which design parts are:
      • Locked (users cannot change), or
      • Editable (users can change)
    • Choose which fields are:
      • Locked (example: company name, website), or
      • Editable
  2. Click Next. Choose a QR code design template to link to this vCard template, or choose None:
    • If you choose a QR code design: the vCard will use that QR style.
    • If you choose None: users can design their own QR code style when creating a vCard.
  3. Click Save.

What happens after you save

  • The template will appear under “Select Preset Design” button (Step 1) when anyone in your account creates a new vCard.
  • Users who have permission can select it and create a new vCard faster, using your approved look and rules.

Tips for common team setups

  • For company-wide branding: Lock the colors, and company name.
  • For personal info: Keep name, email, phone, and job title editable.

Quick troubleshooting

  • I can’t see “Save as Template.”

You are likely not on a vCard Enterprise plan, or you do not have permission to manage templates.

  • My sub-user can’t find the template.

Check the Permissions setting on the template. It may not be shared with them.

  • Users can change things I wanted locked.

Edit the template settings and make sure the correct design parts and fields are set to Locked.

How do I edit or delete an existing vCard landing page template?

Important

  • Only Admin users can edit templates.
  • This is available only on vCard Enterprise plans.

Steps to edit, delete, or clone a template

  1. From the home page, click My Account (upper right).
  2. Click the Settings button.
  3. Go to the Template Management tab.
    • If you don’t see it right away, scroll to the right on the tabs.
  4. Find the template you want to change, then click Edit.
  • On the next page, you can update:
    • Template name
    • Permissions (who can use it)
    • Template design / layout
    • Which parts are Locked or Editable
  • On the same page, you can also:
    • The linked QR code design (or set/adjust it as needed)
    • Delete the template
    • Clone the template (make a copy)

What happens after you update it

  • The updated template will show in Select Preset Design when users create a new vCard.
