How do I use my own domain for QR code links? (White Label)

This article explains how to change the standard short link of a QR code (e.g., qr1.be/wxyz) to a branded link that uses your own domain (e.g., qr.yourcompany.com/wxyz). This process, also known as white labeling, is how you can customize the link name for a vCard or any other QR code type.

How to Set Up Your Custom Domain

Follow these steps to change the default link to your own branded link for all new QR codes.

  1. Log in to your QR Tiger account.
  2. Click on the “My Account” dropdown on the top-right of the page.
  3. Go to Settings > Own Short Domain tab .
  4. Enter your desired subdomain (e.g., qr.yourcompany.com ) and click "Verify".
  5. Follow the instructions to update your domain's DNS records. It may take up to 24 hours for the changes to apply. This allows you to create branded, trusted links.
  6. Add your favicon for brand consistency. Note: Upload an image in PNG format with only 180 x 180 resolution and max file size 50KB.

IMPORTANT:

  • Your existing QR codes will remain the same even after adding a domain. Only your new QR codes will have the added domain.
  • If you delete a subdomain, the QR codes that use that subdomain might stop working.
  • It may take up to 24 hours before all worldwide DNS servers are updated and for our system to recognize the changes.
  • QRTIGER adds the SSL to the subdomain to make this work, so there is no need for you to set up SSL on your end.

This feature is only available for Premium, Professional and Enterprise plans only.
