What are the detailed permissions for each user role (Admin, Editor, Viewer)?

The ability to assign roles depends on your subscription plan (i.e. Professional and Enterprise plans).


If your plan does not support multiple users, these roles do not apply, and you have Admin/Owner permissions by default.


For plans that support multiple users, the main roles are Admin (which includes the account Owner), Editor, and Viewer. Here is a detailed breakdown of the permissions:

Important Notes:

  • When a person creates a new account for themselves, they automatically become the 'Owner' of that account.
  • However, if an existing user adds someone to their account as a sub-user, the existing user chooses and assigns a role to that new person.
  • Editors can only see and manage their own QR codes and folders, plus any folders that have been explicitly shared with them by an Admin.
  • The ability to create and manage Team Groups is available for users on the Growth+ Enterprise plan and higher.
